Different Strokes II

MAY 26, 2018 - JULY 14, 2019

As we welcome the fall season, the A.S. Art Foundation is pleased to present Different Strokes II, featuring:

SEYMOUR BOARDMAN, ERNEST BRIGGS, AMARANTH EHRENHALT

JOEL LE BOW, SHOZO NAGANO, KOSTAS PRENTOULIS

RICHARDS RUBEN, and TARO YAMAMOTO

This exhibition brings together geometric to more gestural brush strokes that express the artists’ individual philosophies. The colors in the show evoke the dynamism of the changing leaves as well as the serenity that the cooler weather brings, showing the timelessness of the works. Displayed in the exhibit are pieces that showcase the different strokes that encapsulate each artist’s distinct style.

We are particularly proud to present the work of Joel Le Bow and Shozo Nagano, two artists who lived in Jim Thorpe for many years. All the artists in our exhibit are in major museum collections.
